I started Aïbaya with a single belief: that the abaya doesn’t belong to one place, one woman, or one moment. For so long, these pieces have been kept inside invisible borders — a certain country, a certain occasion, a certain idea of who is “allowed” to wear them. I never saw it that way.

To me, an abaya is for the woman walking to her morning coffee and the woman arriving at a celebration. It’s for the one who covers her hair and the one who doesn’t. It’s for Dubai, and for every city in between.
